Dwaarkill Rod & Gun Club is
located in the Hamlet of Shawangunk, County of Ulster, New York. The mission of
our club is to promote true sportsmanship and for the pleasure of its members
with rod and gun. We are a 60 member organization dedicated to advocacy,
preservation of open space, and promoting legal and safe gun ownership. Dwaarkill
Rod & Gun Club has been incorporated since 1947. We offer our members
outdoor shooting ranges, owned and/or posted land for hunting deer, turkey, and
small game. Dwaarkill Rod & Gun Club offers a host of opportunities for
many to enjoy the outdoor activities available within our club grounds and
surrounding areas. The Rod & Gun Club provides the facilities, education,
and camaraderie to take advantage of these opportunities.

Our Mission
The object of this organization is to maintain and hand down to future
generations the splendid heritage of the rod & gun which we have received
from pioneer hunters and fisherman; to encourage the young people of this locality to love and enjoy the outdoor natural attractions of wood and stream;
to encourage proper protection of fish, game, and birds, and the preservation of
their natural homes; to help mold and develop public sentiment; to uphold statutes of
the State of New York as related to conservation of wildlife; and to promote and
encourage good sportsmanship among our members and the outdoor fraternity as a whole.
